A special blessing goes out to all my adopted families.
Thank you from Day By Day Farm & Kennel for giving my babies the gift of going from my loving home to yours.
May you all enjoy the unconditional love that only a dog can give !!!!
Hey Kim,
Thank you so much for providing us with the most healthy & adorable puppy. After visiting with numerous breeders & going to other kennels, I cannot tell you how thrilled we were to have found you. Thank you for answering all out questions & the doggy care pack & information, which has made our lives much easier, & Bing's too. We will keep you updated.
Thank you,
Kerry, Brian, & Baby-Bing

Hi Kim,
It was really great meeting with you & Glen Monday. Thank you for meeting with us.
The babies are doing very well. The baby (Tazzi) was car sick Monday but April did very well. We only traveled about 2 1/2 hours then found a motel where the puppies could get out of the car. There was a large gravel area where we could take them for exercise & play/potty time. We leave both in the crate at night & I think that helps Tazzi. Here at home, they are adjusting & seem to be quite happy.
We will send photos & info as time goes by. Just wanted to say thank you once again.
Best Regard,
Tom, Bonnie, Tazzi & April
Hi Kim,
Just thought I would give you an update. My mom loves Chinno, in fact she cried when we gave him to her. He has a wonderful personality & is very sweet. He seems to be adjusting well. He was kind of standoff-ish Thursday afternoon but by the evening he was starting to play & he has done great since then. In fact, I thought he might get a little scared again when I brought him to mom & dad's but he hasn't missed a beat.
He is also doing well with the potty training & he did great on the car ride to KC! The only problem seems to be that he & I bonded a little too much before I brought him to mom because he loves to sleep with me & he follows me everywhere! I must say I am kind of attached too but I know that he will will get attached to my parents as well.
Thank you so much.

Hi Kim,
Oliver is doing wonderful!!! He had his vet appointment this morning & the vet said Oliver is a great looking puppy & very healthy too! It's hard to believe he's only been here 4 days-he has settled in so quickly. I know that it was the wonderful care & love he got from you that has made him such a well adjusted puppy!
He's been using the puppy pads to potty on & is doing great with the crate training. I've been putting his crate beside my bed at night & he'll start to whine so I stick my fingers through the top of the crate & he licks them a few times & then settles down & goes to sleep & I don't hear a peep out of him till morning! He's been eating great for me & has almost gained another ounce since coming home!
Lexy has been great with him-I think she really likes having a playmate. It's hard to get a picture of Oliver without her in them! They've been having fun chasing each other & playing tug of war with the toys. Oliver barked at her for the first time today & it was so funny. It was such a "big" bark for a tiny little guy.
I want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to bring Oliver into our family. We love him so much already & can't imagine what we would do without him! We'll keep sending you updates & pictures as Oliver grows!

Good morning Kim,
Here are a few pictures of my little guy. He has really been a joy in my life. I really want to thank you for taking the time over the Easter weekend to meet me so I could receive my little boy. Tank is healthy, full of energy & really smart. When I received Tank it was still pretty chilly outside, so I had to train him to use puppy pads. He was trained within 2 days. The whole experience in the purchase of him was very pleasant. If anyone is interested in purchasing a pup, I would most definitely recommend you with no hesitation.
Thanks, Irma

We were wanting to add a new member to our family and it just so happened that our friends Nick and Mandy (Seth's parents) steered us your way. As soon as I went to the Day Farm and Kennel website I fell in love...with all of them. Kim was absolutely great through it all. I would switch my mind and want to know more about another Chihuahua puppy and she would send me more photos and update me on blossoming personalities. The only thing that was hard about this process was picking just one puppy to take home. We ended up naming him Maximus almost instantaneously! His personality is so big for such a small little baby. He is energetic and gets along great with his older brother (Harrison, our Jack Russell). We could not love him any more. Thank you for all your help in making his transition from your home to ours so easy!
Carla & Todd
Working with Day by Day Farm and Kennel was a journey of joy. Each week we received updated pictures and information about our little “toy poodle” boy named Rico (the Spanish word for rich). We were able to introduce Rico into the family months before he arrived which provided valuable learning time for our son who would be experiencing his first pet. Our questions and concerns were answered thoroughly and promptly.
When we brought Rico home our vet examined him from head to toe and said he was in perfect health and had none of the common problems he usually sees from other breeders. I would highly recommend Day by Day Farm and Kennel. They are responsible breeders who care deeply about each puppy like they were part of their own family.

Kim,
We love our little Yoda. She's a great little girl. She's well behaved & loves to play with her "big brother" Gizmo. She even goes to the bathroom outside at her young age. Thanks Kim, for bringing Yoda into our lives.

Hi Kim!
I want to thank you so much for meeting me in Harrison.
We had a wonderful time & BaBee was very good on the way home. He seems to like his kennel (of which I am so happy about) & is now sleeping through the night so we are making progress.
I am having a great but also frustrating time, BaBee is such a darling & I love him--but it has been a long time since I had trained a puppy & I had forgotten that the training can get a little hectic at times.
It was great getting to meet you & I am so happy to have found your Farm & Kennel on the internet. You are such a nice person & I could tell that BaBee had a wonderful start in life. Thank you for such a wonderful baby boy. I love him so much.

We're very pleased with our puppy, He's very healthy & has a great temperament. When we took him to the vet for his rabies & kennel cough shot, the vet even commented how great the documentation was that you provided on what shots he had, his genealogy, & all the other information. I'd definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a chi pup!!

Hi Kim,
Just wanted to thank you for everything you did to make our tiny "Toot's" transition from your home to ours so successful. I never tire of telling people that I saw "Toot" on your Internet site & fell in love. I emailed for information which you provided in such a warm & friendly manner. We made arrangements to meet my "turn-a-round" flight in Springfield, Mo with Toot, an FAA approved carryon carrier, toy, blanket, & even a tube of high energy supplement food, just in case. That was a big day for him & the tube came in handy with the 2 1/2 hour flight, turn-a-round time & a 1 hour trip home from the airport.
He has settled down nicely & our vet says he is not just healthy but gorgeous. He is 7 months old & weighs in at 2.2#. We were concerned that we might step on him accidentally but he's too quick for that. He has learned his new name & comes when called. So smart, too. We are building steps for him to be able to climb up to the sofas & look out the windows. He's a dream & we love him.
Thank you so much for everything. I tell everyone--Day Farm & Kennel is the place to get your dog. Well worth the flight. Just thought you'd like to know--you were right--he don't walk--he struts!! Now that's attitude!!

Hi Kim,
I hope you had a very nice Thanksgiving. We sure did, Grant made it extra special. He is just a doll. He has fit right into our family. He is so loving & he is really smart. He jumps on me when he has to go potty. He knows he is supposed to go outside. It didn't take him long at all. He sleeps through the night in his "condo" in Katy's room & when we get up in the morning we take him outside & he does his business. We just love him so much & are so glad we have him. Thank you again for everything. Talk to you soon.

Hi Kim,
Sorry I haven't wrote, it's the first time I have got to check my mail. The drive back was just fine & it wasn't us who got the snow, thank God. The little guy is doing great, everybody just loves him & wants a Chihuahua now. He is a great puppy, he goes potty outside for me & his personality is awesome. He goes to work with me everyday & everybody there just loves him, whenever it is slow--if I don't have him out playing-somebody else does. I want to thank you so much for driving half way & facing your fear & crossing the bridge. I couldn't have asked for a better puppy & I can tell you guys raised him very well. I will make sure I send you pictures, I think his name is Little Bear but my husband wants to call him Mr. Big (haha). I will make sure I keep in touch.

Hi Kim,
Coco is a wonderful little puppy. His personality is so sweet. He loves to play & is so smart & doesn't bark much at all. He loves visitors & enjoys our wood stove to cuddle by when it is cold. You were so sweet during the whole process of getting him here. Thank you for answering all my questions. I will definitely tell anyone that is wanting a new addition to their family that Day Farm & Kennel is the place to go. It was nice meeting you.

Kim,
Update on Chester:
He has settled in very well. In fact, he has already become the master of the house. He is sitting on my lap now while I am sending this message. His weight is close to 5 pounds. He loves to go with us as much as possible. He even goes to the nursing home to visit my dad. Chester will be going on vacation to Florida with us this spring. He gets along very well with our three grandchildren. Thanks again for raising such a well-adjusted pup.

Look who just turned 1 year old!!!!

Update on Onyx: Hi Kim,
I just wanted to say Thank you. I could not have asked for a better tempered or well behaved pup. Onyx has the best little personality & he just loves everyone. He is only about 5 pounds right now but I think most of that is fur, he loves to play with my cats even though he is half their size but his favorite thing is going to work with me. There are even clients that come in with their pets & ask about Onyx & want to see him because he just puts a smile on everyone's face. Once again, thank you & I will be contacting you in the future when we decide to add to the family.
Sincerely, Alexandra

Hi Kim, I just wanted to give you an update on Dior aka Munchkin. She is doing good. She loves playing outside & playing with my other dogs. She goes almost everywhere I go & is such a joy to have around. She is doing very good with her housebreaking & adjusted pretty quickly to living here. Everyone loves her & wants to steal her. She has just been an absolute joy in my life & I'm just so please with her. Thanks for raising such a lovely puppy. I've attached some pictures so you can see how she has grown. And as you can probably tell, she is still just so tiny but she eats all the time & is very healthy.
Sincerely, Monica

Hello Kim,
We first would like to thank you for blessing our lives with Bugzy & Uso! They are a joy beyond measure! Bugzy is like a bolt of lightening--he's everywhere. Uso is more the mellow type & likes to just relax with mommy. They both love to play with the kids in both of our families so we're happy about that! They have so much energy throughout the day but when it's bedtime, they love to snuggle close to Mommy & Daddy. We spoil them & they so deserve it!!! They both enjoy watching Animal Planet pretty much the only quiet time we get aside from bedtime or naptime. We love them dearly & look forward to falling asleep with them & waking up to both of them anxiously rubbing their paws on our cheeks. They are both unique in their own special way & they have adjusted well & they are both very protective of Mom & Dad-no other kids are allowed near us unless either one of them are in our laps at the same time. It's so funny!! They both look out for eachother & right after they eat it's like a day at Chuck E Cheese for them-they go crazy!! They brighten our day so much. They know they are the Men of the House & they know they can pretty much have their way. Bugzy is sneaky & he is always getting his way with daddy--Uso is momma's boy--he looks at me with his small puppy eyes & I melt! Watching them grow day by day has been so much fun!!
We will send you more pictures & keep you updated as they continue to grow! We love them very much & we appreciate you being a part of their lives--they--as well as us--will forever be thankful!!

Hi Kim,
Here's a picture of Bella after her first bath at home. She took it very well & is doing really good. She is very sociable which is so great & everyone just loves her. She loves to travel with me in the car & just loves to snuggle up in my lap. She is eating more now too, she is eating her dry food but she will not eat it out of a bowl or plate--it has to be on the floor--I am trying to figure something else out but for now, I am happy she has her appetite. Thanks again & we'll send more pictures soon.

Hi Kim, June 2007
How are you? I just wanted to send you an Andy update. He is amazing? So wonderful-we couldn't have asked for a better puppy. He has the sweetest demeanor EVER! We had a few potty woos in the beginning but now he is trained to go to the front door & we leash him up & take him out. He is so sweet & good with kids & everyone he meets. Anyway, thanks again for everything. Hope you are doing well.

Hi Kim,
Winchester did great on the ride home...not interested in eating yet but took some Nutrical off of my finger & drank some water. I think he needs to sleep some-he was too jumpy in the car to sleep any-everytime he would get settled-a big loud truck would pass & startel him. We'll keep you posted on his progress. Thanks again for meeting me & the goodies in the bag!!!

This is a picture of one of my very special former little girls--Moonshine-- that I took while I "babysat" for her momma while she went to the Bahamas this past year. She travels with her mommy who lives part of the year here in Missouri & the part of the year in The Netherlands---what a life!!!!
Hi Kim, Happy New Year!! Here is a picture of BaBee, I thought maybe you would like to see him. He is getting to be a good boy. He doesn't chew up as much stuff since he has gotten a little older. He is a smart little guy. Hope you have a great new year!

Hi Kim, Well it's our second Christmas with Toot & he has been & is such a delight. He weighs in at 2 1/2 empty & 2 3/4 before a good outing, He is a sturdy little tike & has no idea just how small he is. He loves people & especially children & will strain on his harness to reach one to pet him. But always on his own terms. We named him "King Toot" & we did well as his conduct has a majesty that belies his size. We really can't imagine life without him now. May this be a blessed & joyous Christmas season for you & yours.

Hi Kim, I'd thought I'd send you an update on Oliver. He's 6 months old today & weighs 2 pounds 13 ozs. He's just the sweetest little guy! I've never heard him growl--he does like to bark-but only if Lexy starts first. His tail is always wagging & all he wants to do is please you. He's definitely Momma's boy-but he adores the kids & my husband too. July 2006
Hi Kim, just wanted to send you an update on Coco-he is now 8 months old & still a joy. He is so funny & become the boss of the house. My hubby is just as much in love with him as me & my son are, although he would never admit it. I have photo's to prove. He loves toys & you can get him to do all kinds of tricks & come to you if he can get a treat, which I keep handy & shake the container & he could be sound asleep & hear it a mile away. He snuggles on my lap while I watch tv, crochet or read. He gives me kisses which I love. Hope all is well with you. I was lucky with the dog food recall--we don't feed wet food or wet treats.

Hey Kim,

Kim,
What a fun & exciting adventure the past four months have been! Ever since the very first time that I saw Chachi on your website & fell in love with him! Less than a week later, after a few sleepless nights & numerous emails, my family had grown-times THREE!!! I will be forever thankful to you for all of your patience, understanding, kindness, support & works of wisdom throughout the entire "adoption" process. You always had the time to answer my questions, calm my "new mommy" anxiety & offer me unconditional advise & reassurance (& you STILL do!) I really appreciate knowing that you are there whenever I need you! You are a remarkable person & I'll never forget the fact that you went above & beyond your call of duty to make sure that my babies arrived exactly on my birthday!! What a wonderful & precious gift!!! I cannot imagine my life without Chachi, Candy & Cookie & all the love, companionship, joy, & fulfillment that my three babies have brought to my existence!! They are truly amazing-full of energy, sweetness & affection. Their personalities could not be more different-making each of them truly unique. Candy is quite the leader of the troop-always the first on to discover new things, the first one to get in trouble, looking out for the rest, resourceful & with an endless supply of energy. However, when she does settle down, she is the cutest & sweetest little puppy who rewards mommy with nonstop kisses while holding my face with her little paws. Cookie is the sweet sister-gentle, devoted, concerned about the well-being of the group, kind, affectionate, & a bit slow at first (she loves to eat & is a little on the plump side) but once you get her going, there is no stopping her! Her "lazy" ear makes her adorable (everyone loves it!) & she loves to lick mommy for hours & adores getting her belly rubbed! Chachi is the perfect little gentleman-charming, well behaved, calm, cool, collected & reliable. He is very patient with the girls-who can sometimes drive him crazy! Being the smallest of the three, he does not let his size get in the way-on the contrary-he possesses a remarkable force & strong determination. He loves to climb to the highest point (the back of the couch, my shoulders, the top of the stairs) & when there, he barks down at the rest of us, reminding us that he is-undeniably-"The Man of the House"!
They are very lucky to have each other & I am very lucky to have them!
Thank you, Kim, for giving me the gift of love!!!

Good afternoon Kim, 5/14/2007
I just wanted to let you know, we made the drive home safely. Eva adores her new puppy. She is still struggling with a name, a very important thing. I am sending some photos. She, (the puppy), has been the center of attention. Many of Eva's friends have been over to see the new baby. I am attaching photos of "Possi" & her new mom Eva. She follows Eva everywhere, it took just a few minutes for her to figure out that Eva belongs to her. Thank you so much for the package you sent home with her, we couldn't be happier. We are starting a toy poodle revolution in the extended family. I have no doubt we will be contacting you in the future for an addition to someone's family. Thanks again.
Hi Kim 6/24/2007
, Just wanted to let you know that Possi is doing well, Eva has named her Lucy. Just sending along a picture, we had a graduation gown made for her so all the dogs would have one for Eva's graduation party. Hope you are doing well.

Hi Kim, 8-27-07
I am so crazy about this guy. He is so well adjusted & socialized that I can't even believe it. We just got home this morning, no problems on the plane or at the airport.
He's sitting on my lap at work right now. He charms the pants off of everyone he's met.
He's been eating no problem he's already using his pee pad consistently.
Thanks for checking in. I'll keep you posted on everything.
Thanks for taking SUCH good care of him.

Hi Kim, 8/25/07
I took Chase to the vet today for his next shot. He was a little scared, & he got upset when she kept trying to look at his teeth, but he was good about it. He weighs 3.6 pounds & the vet said he's very healthy. He's gotten to love car rides as long as he's being held or can sit high enough so he can see out the windows. The vet says he should start loosing his baby teeth soon, hopefully that goes well. He's so good natured & sweet & also so spoiled. When I got him, I didn't realize he would be the highlight of everyday. He does the cutest things. The other day I picked up all his toys & put them in one area, & I turned around maybe 30 seconds later & he had brought each of his toys & his blanket back out to the center of the living room, along with his bed. He cracks me up. I don't know how you let go of all these little guys. It must be so hard. If I did what you do, it would be hard not to end up owning 30 puppies! But I am grateful you do what you do, because I have the best little guy in the world. I'll keep you updated & send you some pictures as he grows.

Just wanted to send you a picture of Barley & let you know that she is doing wonderful with us. She's getting big already & is by far the most vocal of the bunch! We are so happy that we found a wonderful caring breeder to take care of our babies before they come home.
Kate
I just wanted to let you know that Coco is fitting right in at our house. Lucy took right to her & they've been having a ball. Even our cat, Nelson, likes her! She slept all night last night & has been going out to potty like a real champ! I'm so happy with the care you've taken with the puppies. We can't wait for the baby to come home! We are still in the naming process with her. We want Barlow or Barley for her so we'll let you know so that you can start using her name.

Good afternoon Kim! 8/12/07
I finally found a minute to send you an update on the puppies. ther're both asleep on my lap at the monment, while I type on my laptop! "Tara" is quite a firecracker'''she's very forward with our cat. It's really funny! "Robbie" backs her up every once in a while, but for the most part, she's the one initiating any type of confrontation! They are BOTH very loveable lap-dogs!!! They are both eating just fine. Robbie will eat just about anything, including the hard food, but Tara is a bit more finicky at the moment. We had to add some of the soft Pedigree food in with the hard food to get her to eat, but she gobbled every bit of it down as a mix!! We love both puppies equally. They both are so sweet in their own unique way. And, they love each other so much! So far, they haven't slept a wink without having the other one by thier side. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that they're both doing quite well. It's very obvious that they came from a happy & secure home---& we're very thankful for that. Thanks for everything, & we'll send updates to you periodically!!!

Hi Kim, 7/31/07
Jon Rylee ended up naming him "Buddy". He likes him so much & Buddy can not stand to be away from Jon Rylee. His appetite is wonderful & he is just doing great. I forwarded this on to my wife at home so maybe she will send some pictures. Buddy is so much fun & we all just love him. He has been a wonderful addition to our family. Thank you so much!!!

Hey Kim, 8/15/07
Chico aka Hammer is adjusting well---eating good, sleeping in his crate, & has found his place in the yard where he likes to go potty. Chico loves my daughter, if he does not see her, he sniffs around like a hound dog until he finds her scent & then heads straight to her with his tail wagging! Thanks so much, Nicole
Dear Kim, 8/1/07
Sorry I didn't get back with you sooner. The puppies are doing great! It was so good to meet you, also. If you ever get out our way, please stop by. I just added to the puppies' names--not really changed them. Conner is Chico Conner & Logan is Leopold Logan. the first few days was real challenging. Samson was less than a gracious host. He growled, nipped & basically was a real poop to the puppies. I tried many things & found myself at a loss. I went & bought dog food & 3 books on dogs, focusing mainly on Chihuahuas. One was strictly on training. I didn't agree on everything---I'm sure there are many varying ideas on "how-to"...but I did pick up some valuable tips. Totally ignoring Sam when he tried to gain my attention inappropriately & not giving him eye contact until he became compliant were two that I feel have really worked. Also, & you may think I'm nuts...but one of our family's best friends lost her adult Chihuahua after 14 years yesterday...I believe his spirit has come to dwell with us because he knew we needed his guidance. When I got home yesterday from Six Flags with grandsons, Samson was unbelievably obedient. He played with the puppies, romping & being gentle. He has especially bonded with Leopold Logan. Sam seems to become protective of Leo when Chico gets a little too rough. This is amazing. I'm holding my breath, but this may be a real turning point for all three of them. That would be great! Potty training is coming along. We have gotten into a pattern that the boys seem to find ok. We have more hits some days than misses so I am glad of that. Thanks for the suggestion about sharing microchip #'s with our vet. I'm planning on making an appointment soon & share all the info with the vet so I get their guidance on what they need & what I can do better. All the gifts you sent with them was extremely generous & they love everything...even the bags, especially Chico who promptly made a hole in his. Ha! All in all, I think we are doing pretty good. I've sent some pictures & will send more in the near future. Thanks,
Joyce

"Brooke" now named "Pearl" October 15, 2007
Oh my goodness, she is the sweetest loving puppy I have ever seen! I did not think I could fall in love with a baby like I have Miguel (a chihuahua that was bought from me about a year ago) but I have! He was really mad at me up until yesterday, he would sit across the room (he is usually right on me) & stare at me sometimes even having wet under his eyes like he was crying! Then after constant trying she finally won him over! They are playing & it's so cute. She is not one bit scared of him! She sleeps with us right up under my chin under the covers & doesn't get up all night! We love it that her little ears flop over when she's sleepy! I have not had any trouble with her eating, she eats like a little pig! Not a fan of dog food, but itty bitty bites of what we are eating, I am going to have to teach her some manners! I bought her some jars of turkey & chicken baby food today & yogurt. We are going to sample some cottage cheese tomorrow. I have some tiny organic grilled cheese bites that she is obsessed with. She's very smart. She insists that she is held & cuddled every second unless she goes potty or is playing with Miguel. She has me & my daughters wrapped around her little paw! I will send pictures soon! Thanks so much!

Kim,
We made it home! Roxy had a busy weekend meeting the family & she did well. Oh my goodness, I LOVE HER!!! She has the best personality in the world & is not shy at all! I can see why it was hard to let her go. She & my other dog got along very nicely. She ate as soon as we made it into Springfield & doesn't seem to be at all stressed from the move. Thank you so much. I will keep you updated.

"Nugget" October 14, 2007
Hey Kim,
I am not able to upload pictures right now, but will try to get you some in the near future. Nugget is doing great. The ride home was good...only twice did he let out a peep. Getting along well in his new home. Almost goes potty on command...I have been impressed that all I have to do is take him outside & tell him to go potty. Finally, on Saturday, his brother decided that he wanted to play with him. I can't wait to see what the future holds. I think he will be much more of a handful than Chippy. There has been times I'm watching him that I have to just laugh outloud. He's such an animated sturdy guy! Already almost as big as his big brother! I'll send a picture when I can.
